- Run AC conductors and PV DC strings (PW3 accepts up to 20 kW straight in).
- Install CT clamps for revenue-grade metering and PV monitoring.
- Land communication cables (CAN/RS-485) and connect Wi-Fi / Ethernet.
- Commission in Tesla app—run tests, set time-based or backup mode.
- Storm-Watch & firmware check: automatic once Wi-Fi is live.

3. Permits & Safety
- NEC 690 rapid shutdown devices are factory-integrated (mid-circuit interrupters).
- UK installs need G99 approval; Australia follows AS/NZS 4777.
- PW3 enclosure is IP67, but maintain 150 mm clearance all round for airflow.
4. Maintenance & Support
Powerwall is sealed, fan-cooled and firmware-updated over the air. Outside of keeping vents clear and ensuring app connectivity, maintenance is practically zero. Warranty service is handled by Tesla’s remote diagnostics plus on-site swap if needed. tesla.com
